Yes, the holidays are finally over. Well, except for the New Year’s party. Going out of town to some friends this year. Hope everyone had a great holiday like we did!

I could not believe what I saw on the highway today. Let me set the scene:
I was cruising down the 20 on my way to work when I saw a car on the side of the road on the shoulder. Appeared to be changing tires. Well, as i was coming up on this car, I noticed the car in front of me actually scrape the side of this guys car with his. It was a good thing that this guy wasn’t changing tires on the driver’s side. It actually took the car off the jack and it ended up falling.l The guy working on the tire jumped out of the way just in time to not get crushed by his car. Amazing. The stupid driver of the other car took off!
Luckily I got his plate number and reported it. We’ll see what happens.

Yes, it is Al’s birthday. Let the festivities begin. Time for our yearly get away from the wives trip! Hmmm…what kind of trouble will we get into this year — not like we get into any at all. We are really quite boring.

Well, it’s official. My son wants to be a skatboarder. We went out and bought him the skateboard, all the pads, helmet and sneakers that he needed and he jumped on it and headed out to the local skatepark to be with his friends. He has been wanting to learn how to skateboard for awhile now but we made him wait awhile because of all the older kids at the skatepark near our house. We feel he is old enough now though — we will still go check up on him from time to time.
I was watching some of the skaters there the other day and it is amazing what some of them can do. Jumping their skatboards on the ramps, spinnng their boards in the air (kickflipping or something like that)….wish I was 13 again!

Something about this time of year is depressing. Must be the colder weather coming knowing that snow is just around the corner. All there is to look forward too during the winter is Christmas time — seeing the family and all that.
This time of year is buy too. Getting snow tires, shopping for warmer clothes, digging out the snow boots, getting the snowblower ready, winterizing the car. Tons of stuff to do and only so many weekends to do it in!
